Earlier in the year I met up with Anne-Marie and Stephen to take some engagement photos. We had a lot of fun wandering around Stephen's parents farm, finding interesting corners in which to take some romantic portraits. 

Their wedding day came around really quickly and before I knew it I was heading in to Bristol to pick up Mark, my second photographer for the day, and then scooting down the M4 to Cardiff. I dropped Mark off at the church and then made my way across to Anne-Marie's parents house to take some photos of the preparations.

It was great to know that Mark was at the church, photographing the arrival of the groom and also being in place to photograph the bride's arrival while I followed on behind.

The wedding was followed by refreshments in the church hall and then I managed to sneak away with Anne-Marie and Stephen whilst the guests were taken to the reception by bus. The reception venue was just across the road from Bute Park and so we headed over to get some more intimate portraits, garnering some interest from the Cardiff photomarathon along the way!

The reception venue - The Angel Hotel - meant a lot to Anne-Marie as it was where her parents had their wedding reception. She therefore had a great idea to recreate a couple of her parents wedding photos. It was a fun challenge which I think we managed to accomplish really well!

After grabbing a few detail shots of the reception, we left them to enjoy the wedding breakfast, popping back to cover the speeches and the first dance later in the evening.
